| The pendants pictured are hand sculpted from Boulder Opal, a beautiful gemstone found only in Queensland Australia. It makes up only 1% of the worlds opal production and therefore is uniquely considered one of the world's rarest gemstones. Each piece of Boulder Opal is different and totally unique due to the many patterns hidden within. These patterns occurred during its formation, when the Opal, as pebble rock, filled cavities in the host rock. As is evident in the pictures small variations in light sources can achieve dramatic changes to the hue of this incredible gemstone. The beautiful sculptured works of art below are each hand carved from a single solid piece of Boulder Opal. |
